There has been much recent debate over what kind of recovery the US economy will see. The question is how will the economy recovery. In past the "V" shape method has held true. I have been through 4 economic downturns and I agree the "V" shape type recovery was always the way through. "V" shape simply means the economy falls and bottoms and rises upon the other side.

It is getting easier these days to find positive news about the housing market locally and nationally. But does that indicate the worst is over? Are we on the road to recovery? According to the recent report released by the Federal Reserve, among the 12 banking regions in the US all show some signs of recovery. Beyond more than just a few extra sunny days. There is reason for optimism for our local housing market. More buyers are getting off the fence and making offers. Albeit low offers but offers none the less. Nationally while overall new home starts were down, Single family homes were up 2% over the previous month. Locally the NWMLS is reporting a 21% increase in pending activities(which is offers signed around but yet to close). Financing conditions for jumbo loans are improving.
